Volunteer
When you volunteer, it benefits Seasons Centre as well as our community. It can also benefit you, the volunteer, in many ways:
- Develop new skills or enhance existing ones.
- Connect with your community and make new friends.
- Explore career interests and complete Community Service Hours.
- Set a positive example and inspire change.
You Can Make a Difference
Become a Group Facilitator
As a volunteer grief facilitator, you’ll support children in small groups at the Centre from September to June, committing to a bi-weekly schedule (about 4 hours per month).
Requirements include an interview, application form, three references, criminal and vulnerable sector checks, and attending a 35-hour training program. You’ll also complete an orientation covering the Centre’s mission, policies, and training specific to your role.

Development Volunteers
Development volunteers are needed to assist with fundraising events including special events that create community awareness and generate revenue. Volunteers need to be enthusiastic, outgoing, and enjoy working with people.

Volunteer Grief Facilitators
As a volunteer grief facilitator, you work with children in support groups at the Centre. You would be placed in a group with the same volunteer team and children for the season. Our season runs from September – June. Interested volunteers are required to make a one-year commitment to working with their assigned groups which are once a week and every other week. This equals out to twice a month, which is four hours altogether.
Please contact Paula Coulter, Program Services Manager at [email protected] or 705.721.5437 ext. 200 for more information.
