Healing Hearts with Hope
Every child deserves the opportunity to grieve in a supportive and understanding environment.
Grief support programs for children, youth and their families
We provide peer to peer support for children between the ages of 5 and 24 years, and their caregivers who are grieving the death of an immediate family member.
For children...
We provide age-appropriate activities to help children aged 5-12 express their feelings and understand grief in a safe environment.
For teens...
Our programming is designed for teens to explore and process their emotions through peer support, art, and group discussions.
For young adults...
We support young adults by offering a space to share experiences, coping strategies, and to build connections during their grieving process.
For parents & caregivers...
We equip parents and caregivers with tools and resources to support grieving children and manage their own grief.
Training and education
We offer workshops and seminars for professionals and community members to enhance their understanding of grief, helping them support others.
Community support
We offer outreach and partnerships with local organizations to extend grief support services beyond the centre.

Grief journey stories
“Life can be full of surprises, both good and bad, and the greatest of these can sometimes be the most unexpected. I never truly understood all aspects of support until one day the world I once lived in collapsed around me and I was left with only one goal: to focus on my children’s well-being.
That’s when I discovered Seasons Centre Barrie. This organization provided invaluable support for my children, helping them to better understand their feelings and cope with the loss of their mother at such a young age. The staff were incredibly caring and devoted to helping my children gain the tools they needed to understand and embrace life. “Grieving though play”
Twelve years later, I am happy to say that my grown children have embraced life and are living happily. I am incredibly grateful to Season Centre Barrie for the help they provided to my children. Thank you Seasons Centre.”
