Attorney General, Doug Downey, paid a visit to Seasons Centre on Friday morning to receive a tour of our facilities and deliver news that would benefit charities across the province. Downey announced the elimination of the provincial fee applied to the sale of break-open tickets, allowing more money to be dedicated to charitable work The change cuts red tape and will allow charities to contribute an additional $4 million to our communities. Carlayne Gilbertson also spoke of her experiences at the Seasons Centre and how her and her family benefited from the programs. Seasons Centre hosted representatives from many different charities across Simcoe County including Gilda’s Club, RVH Foundation, YMCA, Child Advocacy Centre, and many more.
