Support Programs

For Children Ages 5-12

At Seasons Centre for Grieving Children, we understand that grief can be a challenging and overwhelming experience for children.

Our dedicated children’s programs are designed for participants aged 5 to 12, providing a safe and supportive environment to help them navigate their emotions and experiences.

Program Structure

Our groups meet biweekly for 1.5 hours, and each session begins with an opening circle followed by a thoughtfully designed activity. These activities aim to help children explore and openly discuss their emotions and challenges during their grief process. Additionally, the activities provide tools and techniques to manage intense feelings and cope with their grief effectively.

Specialized Grief Support

Children often express their grief through physical energy and creative outlets. To address this, our Centre features a specially designed program floor that includes various areas where children can safely release their energy, express themselves creatively, and work through their emotions. Spaces like the volcano room and medical play station offer engaging ways for children to explore their feelings and questions in a secure and supportive setting.

Program Areas

Our programs are designed to offer comfort, understanding, and healing to children facing grief. By creating a nurturing environment and providing specialized support, we aim to help each child find their path to emotional well-being and resilience.
