Children who are grieving the death of a loved one can often feel alone in their grief, being left to struggle with the complexity of it. This holiday season, put your hands in theirs and give hope to children and youth who are grieving.

Seasons Centre for Grieving Children has been providing peer grief support groups and education to children and their families, in a warm and caring environment since 1995. Founded in loving memory of Samantha (12) and Jessica (10) Ramey. We are the only centre that is solely focused on assisting bereaved children and their families, and we could not provide these programs without amazing community members like you.

Youth mental health support is needed now more than ever. We are seeing a significant increase in registrations for both our Accidental Overdose and Child Survivors of Suicide Groups. Through structured activities participants learn tools and skills to work through the complexity of their grief journey.

  • $100 will support a child for one grief peer support session.
  • $250 will provide snacks for our participants for one week.
  • $500 will cover a volunteer training session for 1 of our Buddy grief facilitators
  • $500 will provide art supplies for participants for one month.
  • $1,000 will provide 10 grief peer sessions to a participant.
  • $1,600 will support a child for a year of grief peer support sessions.

Any donation is appreciated, if you have any questions please contact Hailey Pride at [email protected] or 705-721-5437 ext. 301.

Attending Seasons has helped because it makes me feel less alone and I can relate to others in group. It comforts me knowing there are people I can talk to other than my friend at school who does not really relate to me” – Seasons Centre Teen Group Participant

“Seasons Centre for Grieving Children has given my children a place to feel safe in sharing about their grief. A place to not feel alone or different from other kids, and connect with other who have shared in the same type of loss as them. It’s not always easy to talk about suicide, but this group has helped normalize this conversation for my kids. And I am grateful.” – Seasons Centre Caregiver Group Participant
