Camp Skein

Our program staff and participants had a busy and fun week at Camp Skein August 18-23! Camp Skein, in collaboration with Camp Maple Leaf, is one of the only sleep-away camps for children ages 7-16 who are grieving the death of a parent or sibling. Camp Skein provides both guided and supportive outlets for grief and remembering in a tranquil, natural environment where campers can relate to each other. It is a place to learn new coping skills and increased resilience. Activities included equine support, swimming, outdoor games, coping skills bingo and much more! If you are interested in learning more about Camp Skein please contact Program Director, Joan Kennedy, at [email protected] or at 705-721-5437 ext. 202.
