Equine Assisted Grief Workshop

A grief workshop for children who have had a family member die, in partnership with Sierrah Acres of Oro-Medonte.

Equine Assisted Grief Workshops will focus on the 4 tasks of grieving the death of a loved one:

  1.  Understanding the reality of loss
  2.  Experiencing the pain or emotional aspects of loss
  3.  Adjusting to an environment in which the deceased is missing and
  4.  Relocating the person within one’s life and finding ways to memorialize the person

Summer Day Grief Programs

One day fun-filled  programs that will focus on specific emotions that a  child may experience in their journey of grief

For  6—11 years old who have had a family member die

9:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm at Seasons Centre

Pre or post program daycare not available

Programs are free

Donations gratefully appreciated

 

July 19     Beat the Blues       Focus will be on the feelings of Sadness  & Loneliness

July 26    Face Your Fears          Focus will be on the  emotions of Fear & Anxiety

Aug 9 Conquer Confusion Focus will be on  the feeling of Confusion

Aug 10 Summertime Sappiness     Focus on the emotions of Sadness & Happiness
